You should be looking down a couple layers. EIGRP operation can't cause the
line protocol to go down. The line protocol being down indicates a
data-link layer problem or maybe a physical-layer problem. What more can
you tell us about this installation? There must be some more clues if you
refo
sible that the IOS image is corrupt. One can still download
similar images from CCO, provided one has a contract.
I agree- EIGRP would be the last place I would look as a cause.

You don't have an EIGRP problem, the routing protocol has nothing to
do with an interface being up or down. 12.0.8 is prey old, before
beating your head I would upgrade the IOS.

Hello,
We have a 4500 (IOS 11.2.16 IP) at hub with static

Thanks in advance.
Hi there
You can also try "sh ip eigrp events", this is a hidden command. Dump the
output to a text file. Next you will need to use the output interpreter at
CCO https://www.cisco.com/support/OutputInterpreter/parser.html (you will
need a CCO login for this) and it will decode the events for you.

An easier way to see if you have any active routes would be sh ip eigrp

You could also add 'eigrp log-neighbor-changes' (double check the dashes)

Hello,
We have about 20 core routers running EIGRP. For some

I assume you are doing floating static route? Did you filter out EIGRP and
SNMP in your access-list
Without having all the configs and info, I'll take a shot at this.
Since this is only happening at some sites you may want to look at utilization on the
frame links. If your utilization is so high that you are missing eigrp hellos, the
routing protocol may decide that the route is not there and

Hi everybody,
I am having an issue with the following access list. I am trying to put an
ACL on my frame router that can limit which network inside my company a

can access. I basically want any traffic coming from 192.168.50.0 to be able
to go to 192.168.5.0. When I apply the access list

Do you have "no ip classess" set on the offenders. If so this may be the cause of

Please send config files, show ip eigrp neighbors,
show ip eigrp topo and show tech. My guess is that the
neighbor is not present for 'some' reason.

Please have a look at the router that says it's routing to null0.
Chances are the netmask is shorter than your directly connected ethernet

As to why the ethernet route disapears thats another question.
