Even without 'no service config', it shouldn't take 10 minutes to get a
router up. If you are consoled in, you will see the router attempted to
get a config automatically, but again, even with that, you should get a
command prompt you can control in less than 10 minutes. My 2 cents.

You might want to figure out why it started doing that in the first place to

If there is a boot system command in the config file, and that command
doesn't list a network boot, then the router will NOT boot from network. If
the file in the flash is corrupted, it will go ROM right away. Cisco web
site has a nice diagram that shows all possible combinations.

Hi,
It means one of two, either your router didn't find the IOS or it booted
into the wrong registry state.
My guess is that if you will check where your router booted into you will
see that you are in registry 0x2148 and not in the normal one 0x2102.
After changing it I suggest that you will t

Config register setting 0x2102 is not a problem in this case.

During cold restart, try the Break key. If that doesn't work try Ctrl-Break.

Fernando is correct. For some reason, the IOS did not load properly. Look at your
config, maybe you have bootsystem flash statement in their that is pointing to the
wrong partition.

Well, it seems that you boot the system from the
Rom,
and once you have boot the system from the rom, the

means that your router has booted off the boot roms. Check to see if you
have an image in flash and if the image is valid. Notice in your show ver
