Cisco Press still can be used. Sadly I still can't pass the exam, just need
one or two more question wright to pass. Funny thou, the set off questions
is not hard but it required us to knows the little things.

real deal,
except the for the Cvoice testI would practice the test until I got
a 900 or better...

I am seeking some cisco letters after my name.. whooaoo... anyways I have
worked in network security field (gray hat) for about 6 years or so...
I downloaded the selftestsoftware exams for switching and score about 850 or
so... How close are those exams to the cisco ones... similiar questions,
I have also got my switching exam tomorrow. I have read both the sybex and
cisco press study guides a couple of times each. I have also used all 3
boson tests and rented switching time from netflowtraining.com which was
very good. I feel I have done enough preparation what do you people think
I recommend spending a lot of time studying MLS.

when i took the ccnp exams i noticed a lot of this..
they seem to slip in the odd question on atm in the routing/support and
switching exam`s (i actually saw about 4 questions)..
so i think you best bet is to be familiar with it but don`t concentrate on
it..

no question about ATM in the exam. I checked with cisco.com and found ATM
was removed.

mistake, I didnot check out with cisco.com to see: No ATM technologies in
the exam. In the exam that I took, there are no ATM questions. You will be
hit hard on STP, MLS, Multicast and Cisco property protocols...

Yes. For the server to have a fully redundant connection it must have a
second NIC to
another switch and failover software in place.
However, you are mistaken that anyone would normally disable STP on any
trunk port,
regardless of whether the switch is in the Core, Distribution, or Access
layer.

I have found numerous errors in chapter 3 of this book.
I am really disappointed as this is from cisco press and i expected a better
effort than this from them.
Can anyone recommend a more accurate guide?

I bought the Cisco prep library ($150 for all 4 CCNP required books)and just
finished the BCMSN book. It was a very easy read. Now time to study and take
the exam next month. Good luck!
