I used Dawn (green) this week simply because the stuff our club buys has run out (they buy a 45g drum for $800, it is enviro safe and *very* effective and concentrated, like one tsp in a bucket is plenty). The Dawn seemed to work fairly well, but definitely not as concentrated as the good stuff.

Grease Elbow that is. LOL I use a small electric, low pressure washer, set on med fan. 99% come up. A white cleaning pad and small scrub brush for stubborn areas. Very seldom do I use a cleaner. I do this 4 times a year. Brush and hose routinely. Cleaner wax twice a year on deck and hull.

My philosophy is if there's a chance the deck hardware may flex, use butyl. If not use LifeSeal. For instance, I bedded Touche's chain plates with butyl. The winches got LifeSeal. Bed-It butyl is the best. I quit using 4200 years ago after getting several partially cured tubes. I much prefer
