Do you have a solar charger if you're on a mooring? The water witch saved my boat last season. I don't know how long it was pumping, but I was on shore power so my batteries remained charged (have solar power as well for when I'm not on shore). Had a bigger leak and when I got to the boat I could

I've installed the version of the LED tape lights you can get from Home Hardware, similar to those from the first link. My problem with them, although they are nice and bright, is that they don't stick perfectly. Have had to use white electrical tape to help them stick.   Original Message

The plate and HIN won't necessarily match. Mine don't. The last four digits on the small plate are R178, whereas the stamped in serial number on the hull ends in 1177. Maybe mine was manufacturered 11/77, and sold 1/78? No idea Sophia 1978 C MK-1  Toronto, ON   Original Message   From:

Hi Gene, I don't think you can use the existing track with Harken. I have an Mk1 but I think it is the same traveler system as the MK2s from what I remember of a friend's mk2. I measured the track last year and it wasn't compatible. You can use the existing holes though. I just did a complete

Stus-List Removing Traveler Track C 29-1

2016-04-25 Thread Sophia Weber via CnC-List
Hi all, I've removed the original traveler track on my 78 C 29 MK1. Removing it is pretty simple in theory, except for a piece of wood trim that is in the way. After removing the plastic cover from underneath, there is a piece of wood attached to the wall blocking 9 of the 12 bolts, making it

I tried cleaning mine, but they had taken on the smell of mold and wouldn't let go. Took one apart to experiment. Washed it several times, and used a whole bottle of febreeze on it. Still stunk like mold. So I got new cushions, and it looks like a new boat inside! Definitely worth the

What is the best length to get? I've read the 1.5x LOA rule, but my boyfriend is arguing that is too long. Looking to get new jib sheets (7/16"?)‎ and also a line for my new Harken windward sheeting traveler system for which I have a 1.5m track and want to do a 4:1 purchase (1/4"? - 26 ft?)

I'd be interested in getting some engine acousting insulation as well (also in Toronto) as I don't think my boat has any in it. At least it doesn't sound like it does! Can barely hear crew if they are not immediately in front of me over all of the noise. Crewed a few races on a C this year (also
