Ovenbird at Crow Valley Campground was best bird of weekend for me! Photos
at website below now. Also, of note, we had at least two Gray Flycatchers,
I assume, both wagged tail downward when perched. Photos, too, if someone

across the street (south side of Hwy 14) in the tilled fields. Able to pick

is posted “permit only” but FC Audubon has negotiated for birder access. The

Several folks from elsewhere in the USA have chimed in that the Timnath Ruff
looks more like a beaten and battered BB Sandpiper. Most notably, this bird
does not have the long tertials of a Ruff. The bill shape is off as well.

On a quick lunch run to Sloans Lake, the storm fallout was impressive. I
saw a Marbled Godwit and a Stilt Sandpiper. Several more sandpipers as
well, including a Least, and potentially a Pectoral (need to check my
pictures).
