my scanner creates a jpeg which I print to a pdf doc. I then attach
that to an email message.
For the print/conversion from jpeg to pdf, I use PDFCreator

This is a good arguments for using gmail or something similar for receiving
the list.

but there actually is one error, I think. He implies that the taskbar app
thumbnails are new with Win7. They're improved, but not new--Vista had them,
too.

quarter, a $100m drop in revenue.

There are some good phones that have come out from real cell phone
manufacturers.
LG, Samsung, RIM and a few others have all put out some good products recently.
These folks know what they are doing much better in this arena than
MS could ever hope.

You probably shouldn't really need to install a driver at all in
WinXP. Though, there may be some special hardware features (e.g. an
instant scan button) that would require proprietary software.
So, just uninstall Presto and use something else. Or leave it
