partition at /mnt/DOS-hda or some such; on systems (like both of mine

essential files such as fonts and sound files, this caused all
symlinks into the dos

I went to install MDK7.0 on an 8 GB disk with WIN98 on it.
Told partitioner to give 2 GB to Linux (leaving 6GB for Windows)
After it all went horribly wrong and I ended up with a corrupt Windows that
