Is there not a script that you could create to allow for the choice between the two? Make it part of the install script and part of mcc? --- Eivind Eriksen [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: No. If you compile in support for ACPI it gets precedence over APM :-( (ACPI is not available as a module).

Re: [Cooker] kppp problem

Yes, I reported this a few days ago to the kde bug system. When kppp drops the connection it changes the permisions on /etc/resolv.conf to -r root root so mere mortals cannot even read it. I now keep a root console open just to reset the permissions on the file !!! It all works then.

2001-08-22 Thread SI Reasoning
I like the feature (and it currently works for me). I know that you can control user access to reboot from kdm, as long as this is not a backdoor around that I think it is a good thing. The kdm control over reboot is in root's mcc logon manager --- Digital Wokan [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I'd

[Cooker] browser plugins

With beta 1 of Mandrake 8.1, I was hoping that Shockwave Flash and Real Video plugins would work for both Netscape and Konqueror without any setting up on my part. For both applications, when I visit web pages that require those plugins, I get windows popping up that ask me to download them.
