I configured ISDN and tested it with my own provider (xs4all.nl) and

Just installed 8.2, a few problems came up.
1) I set my color depth to 32bpp during the install - when I rebooted the
display was set to 8bpp. Not a big problem really.
2) Does 8.2 contain the NVIDIA drivers? If so, it didn't configure them for

For whatever reason, curl-config is not included with curl, libcurl2, or
libcurl2-devel. This is an IMPORTANT part of the curl package. Some

You need to get X working again.
Upgrading from 6.x to 8.2 isn't really supported, and
more than likely things aren't perfect. I "upgraded"
my parents from 6.1 to 8.1 by getting a new hard drive

had completed and I tried to boot, I got an error.
Init: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes.

even
if you have done "chkconfig --del pormap". Not a nice feature IMO...

the RPMS directory to the contrib directory, the link being called
RPMS2. The install proceeded well, except at the end libmetakit,
gnome-guile, flightgear, kwintv, openuniverse, sylpheed, etc were
