Hi!
I got an idea for MDK 10:
Would it not be nice if you could do network and hd installs from
the iso images?
Currently this cannot be done, as the installer code only does this
for the first iso image. But it handles the iso format ok, so probably
it is only a matter of loopback mounting th
The LSB project www.linuxbase.org aims to do exactly
that. This compatibility is what the LSB option during

way to go.

One thing I would like to see for MDK 10:
That RedHat, Fedora, SuSE and other rpm packages be
installabla on MDK systems.
I dont know what analyses is needed to do that, but it
is probably something with compatibility libraries.
Or maybe it is something to do about having packages follow LSB.

A wish, not necessarily for 8.2:
I would like to have automated finding the best site
for a mirror, or actually the best site for a specific
net service.
The idea is to save users from a question like finding
the best site. This could be a mirror for update,
or the best timer available.

what do you thing of this?
It's a 5 minutes-made glade screenshot. The tree and the list are unfilled, so
there are hidden, but should be there.
The idea is to try to autodetect src, makefile, configure and other stuff
location, and try to parse Makefile to find out what the install process is.
