Not convinced this is the real answer (I reported this as bug#691)... ftp fails
and nfs works.
Hi!
Just a suggestion for MandrakeUpdate: what about also showing the changelog
of the listed packages and not only the description? Then one wouldn't need
to run rpm manually every time.

Hi,
When I first installed the 7.2 beta2, some RPMS didn't install
correctly.
Wouldn't it be possible to have a logfile of which packages didn't
install correctly?
Maybe would it be also possible that create automaticly a script to
reinstall those RPMS later?

What about an option to save this list to disk and to read the back in a later

This is not the same like the Auto-Install-Disk. It's just the package-list.
Anybody who wants to add this?

And xawtv does not depend on KDE or GNOME.
Only problem with current xawtv is, that the resources file is not copied

hello all,
i found that you can download a file called netkit-combo which contains all
of the netkit stuff (e.g. ftp, rwho, telnet, etc). wouldn't it be better if
you have one spec for netkit, that uses the netkit-combo + netkit-base file

Hello,
The installation of FrontPage Server Extensions is quite difficult for a newbie as I am.
Should it be possible to make a separate RPM of Apache + FPSE preconfigured (without the need of compile Apache sources) ?

I just ran 'rpm -Va' on a vanilla Mandrake 6 installation. It's rather
a mess. For example:
- There are a stack of missing ncurses libraries which the RPM thinks
should exist.
- There appears to be a missing symlink in /usr/lib (libhistory.so.4.0
-> libhistory.so.4). This is part of readline.
