I have just tried to install Debian on a machine with an Adaptec AHA 2940 SCSI
adapter. When I run install from DOS (or boot from the rescue floppy) the
machine hangs after detecting the SCSI adapter
I have just downloaded and installed the image and headers for the 2.2.10

Does anyone know what the program is?

Hi,
I would like to set up the latest version of GNOME on my debian 2.1 (slink)

please point me to the best way to install gnome without using apt. Would the

Thanks, in advance, for any help.

Hi,

Hi. I'm having some trouble with my ppp.
It works, but it kind of locks the applications that are trying to get

The command your looking for is 'chmod 710 /root/.fetchmailrc' NOT chown

Hope that helps

I'm running slink with the 1.0 gnome update. I'd like to be able

stuffing up the existing pre-compiled programs. How do I set up these
libraries so that existing stuff gets linked to the Debian-compiled
libraries, but anything

get busy and build a set of boot floppies that uses this kernel.
If you do that, can you make an announcement if you can make them available?
Otherwise, I guess its down to waiting for the official potato release...
