LibreOffice is written using Swing and there are two plugins: one for
gtk2 and one for gtk3. I've noticed that no matter what icon set is
used the gtk3 theme is too dark. In other places like in the
"r128" is the appropriate driver for your card but obiously does not
work properly on your hardware. It would be a good idea to let the
upstream devs know that. xorg/driver/xf86-video-r128 is actively

I have found that even after installing the "English (UK)" language

Note to any users affected by this bug: a workaround is to manually
populate the /com/ubuntu/user-interface/scale-factor key. For example,
on my MacBook Pro, I set it using dconf-editor to:

It's easy to reproduce:
- log in an uptodate xenial system
- start a guest session
- close it
-> the greeter only has the custom a11y indicator
Looking a bit more it seems the greeter session bus fails to start which
makes indicators to bail out

independent of the OS, since here is a similar report by a Windows user:
