I have it working on our local branch (modified). I will work on this and
I have noted a practice in OpenEJB related to giving credit for the
patched to contributors. After applying the page they assign it to the
contributor which keeps a record in the Jira which is easier to search.

I think EPL is compatible with Apache same as BSD and MIT. It should not
be a problem using the binaries. AFAIK, Apache Tomcat uses Eclipse
compiler for JSP compilation and this compiler falls under same license.
