As long as you've installed the font, both should be able to display GBK
characters. It's possible that recent changes to TextInput might have

I'm about to check in the last bit for PIVOT-474, then I'm gonna tag. My
guess is that we'll find some issues and re-tag, but at least the process
will be kicked off. All of the other tickets currently marked against 1.5

Hi gang:
Now that I'm back and mostly caught up, it seems that the 1.5 release is
about ready to be shipped. I plan to tag today or tomorrow, unless anyone
has any 1.5 tickets that should hold that up. Let me know.

Still catching up on email... this is intentional, though I admit at first
glance it seems weird. I'll try to dig up the old thread to jog my memory
