Then the way to run them efficiently, split or use ec2 is another problem.
What do you think?

Hi Alexandre,
After some experiments, this tool is so limited that we decided to neither
advise nor support it. It's then not embedded in TomEE.
I wrote some notes here https://tomee.apache.org/javax-to-jakarta.html
Hope it helps

- create 10.x API and release a M1
Who can help on what?
Creating a JIRA with sub tasks so we can track the work to do and
coordinate is also a good contribution.

Thanks Rémy,
Actually, I think we are going in the same direction. 8.x which is the
latest javax version might be supported a bit longer. 9.x needs discussion.
I would not be against focusing on 10.x and having a very minimal
maintenance on 9.x

Hi all,
I worked on the TCK side and we fully pass the WebSocket TCK.
Build is green. I'm tempted to give it a try and do the release if that's
ok.

No objections. It was also on top of my head to do it before end of the
year.
I need to look at the failures. I got some exchanges with Tomcat folks and
Tomcat passes the TCK. But they said the tests are badly written and
unstable.

e TCK setup is overall quite complete https://github.com/apache/tomee-tck
There is a readme and it works pretty well. The steps are quite heavy
though.
Not sure if you need something else because MVC isn't part of EE 9 by
default.

es. We don't use Spring integration as we wire CXF up in the code
itself. Maybe it would work.

and also take more time which is
already an issue. I'd be tempted to look at TomEE and extract parts that
don't leave too much or with a different lifecycle into their own project.
Thoughts?

Great job.
I did the entire MP 5.0 CCR last week with all documentation and logs but I
haven't heard from so far

more time to start. Not ideal but until we can get better machines it may
help.
Anyways, CXF wise, build is ok and the last TCK run looks also ok. It
should allow us to update and follow CXF versions more easily.
