Did one of you tried to delete the slimserver.pref file? I had the same
problem, after updating. Even if you uninstall the slimserver, the
slimserver folder is not deleted and the pref file stays on your disk.
When you delete or better rename the pref file slim will create a new

Well, the answer is in the error messages ... "not 6.0+ compatible".
This is an old plugin which has not been updated for the changes that
occurred with the release of 6.0. You can't use it with the current

What version of WPN824 router firmare are you running? I just
downloaded Version V2.0.15 from their website which is apparently the
latest and SB3 still does not work on and Auto 108Mbps. What actually
happens is the music streams but is very choppy with drop outs every
other second.

Xio's problem is echoed by me. Playing my SB2 used to keep my Mac from
falling asleep. After installing SlimServer 6.2.2, my Mac sleeps (and
SB2 stops) while playing music. Is there an update that fixes this?

accelerated the growth of the memory footprint, so I wonder if the leak

HELP! I decided to go to the update site and run the update from
11/29/2005. I downloaded and ran the update (exe), but now even after
several reboots, Slimserver will not start. When I right click the
tray icon and click "start slimserver", the icon just blinks and never

If the playlist lists the location of the song in a particular folder,
slimserver will look in that directory for the tune. If the drive is hooked
to a computer that names it hdrive the server will look for hdrive. If you

I'd say that it is converting them to FLACs on the fly. At least, when
I'm using a squeezebox3 I see both the perl (server) and flac processes
being run.

that; As soon as I start the SlimServer my CPU usage grows to sometimes

Just FYI, I'm also using a WPN824 set to auto 108mbps - although i don't
have any devices that can actually support this standard.
I don't have any problems getting the squeezebox to connect. Try update
the firmware, there is a new beta version on the netgear website.

If both machines are on the same network you should just be able to
point softsqueeze to the computer name (the one with slimserver
running)
Click the button in the top left and type in the computer name in there
and that should hopefully be it

A queezebox could do the video part with videobox. The converted version
works fine with the latest nightlies. You'll find the plugin here, and

So far I am very impressed. I looks even better that the photos, a
really classy piece of kit. Trouble is it really shows up the cheap
