beginning. I don't use shuffle. To have it start from the beginning I
have to start the playlist manually before I go to sleep and stop it at
the first song. I use 6.2.1.

Oops. I run SoftSqueeze while waiting for my box to arrive, and I may
have painted myself into a corner, as it were.
I have the Start menu at the top of my screen (old Mac habit), and
SoftSqueeze is in the bottom-left corner. I usually use the "v" button
to bring up the "vertical" remote control,

SB2 and SB3 are +/- identical except for the housing. Go for it if you can
get it cheaper. I think the formfacter might also be easier to integrate

I think you can move the remote on it's own by holding ctrl while you

menu, or generally see what's going on. Using "power off" (on the
remote) doesn't help, and neither does restarting the app or the
computer.
You can move the remote independantly by pressing ctrl while dragging it
away.

I have bought a grand total of ONE song via Itunes 6. I was really
angered that I couldn't play it on either Squeezebox 3 or Winamp 2.8
The way I got it to play on SB3 was via a "brute force" method - First
I made Itunes burn it to CD. Then I used EAC/FLAC to make a FLAC file
from the CD. No

I've found that some broadcasters pull from a pool of IP addresses. You
may be able to divine the IP address for the current connection. The
next time you connect, you're connecting to a different IP address or
port number.

there was a bug where the song was not reset at the end of a playlist.
This should be fixed with the latest builds of 6.2.2

OK, one more day on but still no music.
To recap. I have easily transferred 100gb of music onto my TS101-400. I
can see the files. WM Player on my PC can see and play all the files.
The Squeezebox can see all the files, artists, tracknames etc but will
not receive any actual stream. It goes thro

This also depends on the drive used i think. I know my older Plextor
writer had problems with some albums (The Beatles - Let it Be... Naked
was one) but the Plexwriter Premium i got handles anything i give it.

I suspect the TT caches will have to be flushed on certain setting
changes. Maybe there isn't enough with a simple sort order chan
the stylesheets seem to need a bit more refreshing to clear out. This
was lessened for a while when the Default skin used skin.css and
fishbone used slimserver.css. I changed this last night to make it
easier to maintain the alternate styles. The common styles for the
skin are now in slim.css a

It started when I upgraded to firmware 35, but downgrading back to 29
didn't solve it (see #1 in OP). Deleting and re-creating my
slimserver.pref file _appears_ to have solved it, but I wouldn't bet my
life on it.

You have to set it, I think in Energy Saver, under "wake for Ethernet
network administrator access."
I think that wake on LAN is not possible for wireless networks where
the computer is connected by a wireless card, but it works fine if it
has a wired connection to a wirelss access point.
Trumper, I've never worked with WMA lossless, but given that it's
lossless, there must be something that will batch convert them all to
FLAC. I use Easy CD-DA Converter (http://www.poikosoft.com/) for all
my ripping and format conversion.

Why is it that my iTunes Playlists seem to have a mind of there own
when used with the SB3?
After a few days use, they gradually disappear. If you stop SlimServer
and then run slim.exe from the command line (search on here for why I
did that...) then they come back.

I went dual-core about 6 weeks ago. Before the change, my PC would
really bog down whenever a SlimServer scan would kick in. Now I don't
even notice a hit. Generally I don't play my Squeezebox while scanning
but I just checked it out. There is some delay with the remote control,
and text scrolling

Try the latest nightly release of SlimServer. A bunch of iTunes
related bugs were fixed over the weekend and reports are that it's
much improved.

What finally worked was to uninstall the current version, install an
older version and then reinstall the current version.
I possibly could have just unistalled and then reinstalled the current
version, but I took the extra step for whatever reason.
