The volume was rescaled - note it goes from 0-100 rather than 0-40 now. If it was linear this would suggest that a setting of 50 would be equivalent to 20, which is obviously not the case in your setup. Either adjust the volume lower or put an attenuation value in the preamp volume control. Not

Beesley, S - you ought to try the good old, excellent and free TCPMP (The core pocket media player). This works extremely well with both flac and mp3. I agree with autopilot's suggestion of streaming directly from your file directory rather than through slimserver. TCPMP also shows the album art!

ive tried converteing an ape album to flac, and corrected the cuesheet info within, no go :( SS will list the tracks, but just wont play it. The only way that it would play them is that I convert all of them to individual flacs with indicivual tagswhich is alot of work -- kin0kin --
