The volume was rescaled - note it goes from 0-100 rather than 0-40 now.
If it was linear this would suggest that a setting of 50 would be
equivalent to 20, which is obviously not the case in your setup.
Either adjust the volume lower or put an attenuation value in the

iTunes podcasts appeared neatly in a list on the SB3 and played back
fine.
Since upgrading to 6.5, I see the list of iTunes folders, but they are

Beesley, S - you ought to try the good old, excellent and free TCPMP
(The core pocket media player).
This works extremely well with both flac and mp3.
I agree with autopilot's suggestion of streaming directly from your
file directory rather than through slimserver.
TCPMP also shows the album art!

Yes, this is the best Slimserver release by far.
All my major annoyances have gone - Artwork displays perfectly, no
duplicate entries, CUE sheet support is finally working great for me,
I’ve had no crashes, plus a few other small bugs that really
irritated me are banished.

I have an IMAC with a 750gb external drive which is now full. My
fairly new IMAC has 400 gb free on it's internal drive. In basic
settings I have my music folder blank and I have the use Itunes
checked.
I'm not very computer savvy and making any changes to any setting on

doesn't need to do any surround processing, it just thinks it is
regular audio and passes it as is to the AV reciever. I'm guessing that
surround MP3 would need to be decoded and then sent to the digital outs.

Not that anyone probably cares, but I got this solved with a new
wireless phone jack. Oddly enough, a 2.4GHz-based wireless jack
succeeded where my power-line based phone jack failed. This suggests
that the SB3 is putting out noise on the electric system for some odd
reason.

I deleted all the files in the FileCache directory and closed
SlimServer, and when I came back my hard drive had been filled again,
disabling my computer. SlimServer's slim.exe service was still running.
I closed the service, took Slim out of my Startup folder and rebooted
my computer. Once again

I didn't delete the install directory, but I did uninstall it before
reinstalling it.
I have since reverted to 6.3.1 after uninstalling and deleting the

This is kinda a question/poll. I have been reading some articles which
state that iTunes has a limit around 25,000 tracks before it starts to
get sluggish. Has anyone ever experienced this problem? Also, will it

or at the end of the track, the player stops and i get a message on

tracks from the page if you follow instructions on forums.

I just "discovered" the radiotime plug-in in 6.5, along with its ability
to receive almost all of my local radio stations. Cool. However, it
doesn't seem that I can add any of these stations to my Favorites list.

I had this issue after upgrading from 6.3 to 6.5, and was advised by
slim technical support to upgrade to the latest nightly, and it was
solved.
It's a shame when simple things which have worked so well for so long
fall apart after upgrading.

album for which there is only placeholder artwork. I think at this
point Slimserver tries to open the first track to retrieve the embedded
artwork and fails. If it also does this during a rescan then this
explains why I'm getting
