My only problem with the add.hold button is that sometimes I get
impatient (in a hurry) and let go prematurely (let the ribbing begin!)
Then I have to go rescue the track that I've accidently removed from
the playlist. Would it possible to reverse these? ie. press + for
PlaylistMan, and +.hold
Would it be possible to allow the option of re-scanning the library on
launching the server?
It would be much better if the server could check if there is new music
and if there is new music re-scan this music in as it is launched.

Just a thought, I recently installed Internet Explorer V7 with add ons,
installed OK, but when I tried to open IE I got the message 100%CPU
usage. I uninstalled and reverted back to V6 and all OK. The point is

I lost my analogue output once - I had to reload the firmware to get it

One reason it would find music in another folder would be if you have
playlists which refer to that other music. In your server settings -
basic page, you have places to specify locations for both music library
and playlists. Try clearing the playlists entry and just specifying a
music library

easy to fix, so you can save a phone call and not have to go
musicless...
Scroll right under Current Settings and you can change it to match
the one on the bottom of the box.
One bug that corrupted the MAC has been fixed,

currently selected player. Assuming the browser is running on the same
machine as slimserver you should allow cookies from localhost
(127.0.0.1) and also the actual IP it uses (probably something like

It's not as drastic as a factory reset, which reprograms the Xilinx

Even though I've disabled slimtray.exe from starting up on boot and
neither msconfig, ccleaner, or windows advanced care 2 can detect any
startup to do with slimserver. Despite this, slim.exe starts on boot
without fail. How do I disable this?

Through the Windows Services snap-in. There are many ways of reaching it
but one way to do it would be:
1. Click Start - Run...
2. Type services.msc + Enter.
3. Right-click on SlimServer and select properties.
4. Change Startup type to Manual.
