Sounds like your network is setup in such a way as to prevent the SB from reaching the internet itself. This usually happens when you manually setup the network settings and have wrong values for gateway or DNS server. So the SB can see your server (to play local files) but when you ask it to play

I usually stick my controller in the cradle when I go to bed and pull it out when I eat breakfast. It lasts all day and usually wants a charge before bed. I suspect that it won't last as long during a party environment, but it should last. -- ik632 --

Each version of the server has a related SBC version (or set of versions). When you connect to a server it will make sure the SBC is at the correct version and if not, trigger an update automatically. That's all you should ever have to do as a normal user. But obviously, if you move between server

i think, i read that you should rename the file to jive.bin ? or will it work anyway. I'm perfectly happy running 7.0.1 otherwise, as it sort's out many other things. It's says on the site that 7.0 is the safe and stable, but my experience is that most of the time the beta is better. thanks -

The Receiver was designed to be used with the Controller, so no IR control is needed. Even if there were an IR sensor there, there's no display to see what's going on, so navigation is essentially impossible. Since you bought a Duet and it came with the Controller, why wouldn't it work? -- de

Before 7.0, I remember being able to add any folder of any name with any audio files to my hard drive's music folder and my Transporter would find it and play it. Recently I added three albums, two from the same artist, by copying the audio files into the music folder and into appropriate artist/
