Can I import .M3U and Windows Media playlists into MIP to then show up
on the Duet controller under playlists ?
I thought I'd ask the question before I tried adding them to the MIP
library as everything is working perfectly at the moment and I don't
want to do something that might cause a problem
Yes you need to forward the 3483 port to your server as well. I have
TCP/UDP forwarded, but I have never tested if it realy needs both.

Hi,
Is it possible to set up the SqueezeCenter to password protect the web
interface but not any attached software players (I'm using
SoftSqueeze)?
I have a setup where I'm serving the music but I don't want others to
be able to control my player remotely.

Huh - I went to extra's under sqeezecenter and fired up softsqueeze 3.6,
and it worked fine.. so no worries!

Hi Folks!
I just turned of my ReadyNAS version of Squeezecenter and installed a
copy on my local PC - why? Because the web interface is just SO slow
on the readynas... :(
Anyway - when I fired up my squeezebox, I had to tell it to go to the
new server, or else it was looking for the old server.

Ya, PC is named, the SBC controller finds it fine and has the proper IP
for it...just the SBR does not. I've tried "other server" and putting
in the IP manually but when I enter the IP then hit ok it just does the
little "jiggle" and won't let me proceed.

You also need to allow port 3483 through to your server. Slimproto
pretty much handles everything (display, remote, etc) except for
serving the music itself.

I've been using my Duet as an all wireless system but I'm not getting a
very good signal where it's located and I get dropouts.Squeezecenter

Hmm, good idea :)
Once I had connected to SqueezeNetwork the display fixed itself right
away.
The weird thing is it stayed ok when I connected back to my
squeezecenter afterwards.
Previously the display had stayed corrupt through power cycles and ever
forcing a firmware reload.

Is there a reason that the auto-update setting hasn't been added to the
web interface as a player setting? This has been a fairly common
situation. Misplace the remote, get stuck at firmware update.

pick up my iTunes Library, including the all important Internet radio
stations. The server never picked up the radio stations, and I use a

I'm having the same connection problems between the router and the
controller as many have reported here. My set-up is a Linksys WRT54G
v5 router with WPA (TKIP) encryption and latest firmware (1.02.5). The

I've bought software costing hundred's of £'s and had to wait YEARS to
