Hello
I'm just curious if there is a more comfortable way to get the music
from SC to the iPod. I have about 60k flac song's on my SC. So I just
want to add some CD's from this collection to my iPod. Currently the
way I do is, I log on to the shared drive, where the music resides.
Copy all
A bug was already filed.

I cannot get my SB3 to connect to the 192kbs mp3-stream of RP. It's
trying to connect and then it's timed out. I cannot open it in Media
Player as well. The 128kbs stream does work fine.
The RP forum doesn't mention anything about a faulty 192 stream and
neither does this forum.

If you don't mind paying for a program, Mediamonkey can move and convert
music on the fly to an Ipod. It can also do a version of mp3gain and
volume equalize the tracks on the fly. It's a great program for
organizing a library and working with portable players. I have multiple

Somehow I get the feeling that this feature will never make it in to a
release. Not many people use SBs externaly.
It's a bit of a shame as a server can host many SBs and this way each
haoushold doesn't need to run their own Squeezecenter..

I had the same problem .. try taking the battery out and restarting a
couple of times ..
Try not to look at it every couple of seconds :) .. it can take a
while.

requirements. It ran SlimServer and now SqueezeCenter without a hitch.
I've got 400GB of music on there (mostly flac) that I moved over from

Sounds like the remote, as you say. Test it by pointing a digital camera
or camcorder at the remote LED and pressing some buttons, you should see

I connected my SB direct to a quad 405. When i turned the thing on the
volume seemed to be set at 50% which is spot on with my quad. My quad
has had the input sensitivity reduced to about that of more recent
power amps.

Itunes is the hard part as it is a proprietary system. Apple doesn't

grabs the sound off your PC's sound card and routes it into the server
