Yes, but you would need to attach a screen, and install Jivelite, thus .

My advice on this is to try to keep as mainstream as possible. If you do
do then youll find that every issue you come across will almost always
have surfaced somewhere else and been fixed.
2 years ago mainstream would have been something else but today it is
definitely piCorePlayer on a Pi. You w
Thanks to all of you again. I went back and reread all of the comments
and I think I am beginning to get this. The Raspberry pi and the Dell
Wyse are great suggestions. As I mentioned, I'll go the Raspberry pi /
piCorePlayer and I won't worry about connection to mysb. I'll keep the

my defense of the duet receiver was strictly for non critical listening
(extra room, etc). I do still like the controller despit
As you already have a Topping D30.
Get LMS going on your "replacement device", using whatever OS you
prefer.
Get comfortable with it. Your system should function as does today.
After a while, as a no cost option, plug the Topping D30 into the
"replacement device". See if there is a change in s

A Dell/Wyse thin client is a good option too IMO. Great deal right now
on a new Wyse 3040 with wifi on Ebay:

That would rule out picoreplayer but it's x86_64, pick your distro of
choice, my vote would be for Alpine Lin

If you go the Raspberry Pi route, I'd use a DAC hat or a USB DAC on the
RPi and get rid of the SB Duet.

I, like many here, use a rpi running picoreplayer as a LMS server only.
That is, squeezelite disabled.
I have identical two systems, each on a rpi 3b+ with a USB HDD, and use
Samba and freefilesync to manage a mirror of my music library (on my PC)
on the rpi HDD. So, when I add a new "album" to

You would only use/need Jivelite if you were adding a screen to the Pi.

Nice. It looks like this Rasberry Pi with pCP would work with my SB
Duet. Perfect. I think.
Do I need to use Jivelite? I'd like to keep it simple.
Thanks

Possibly overkill if you just have one player, but maybe an excuse to
get more, a Dac32 maybe? :-)

Take care of your tongue. It is in a wet place and can easily slip.

Although you might need to pay a bit more to get 4GB because finding new

An alternative is the soon to ship Core32 from Polyvection - at around

What are some ideas or recommendations for an inexpensive computer to
host LMS? In my house we only have one personal computer, a laptop that
is not always here and thus not always available to connect with my

Is there a bare bones, inexpensive computer, pad, tablet, etc that runs
