Welcome to the forum. You will find this is a very friendly site. Many

I've had the Logitech Squeezebox alarm clock for a long time, but my
questions are definitely newbie level, I'm afraid. I've used it for a
long time without fiddling with any of the software or firmware. But now

Thank you for getting back so quickly.
I probably need the Controller too, then, given my general
incompetence...
I'll prob be asking other questions shortly when I can't get things set
up properly, but thanks for answering just now.

You can either use the Net::UDAP tool (for PCs) to setup a Receiver, or
you can use SqueezeConfig on your Android device:

No, you can't control the Squeezebox from Twonky Media Server.

I am currently running a Linn Sneaky DS through a QNAP TS-210 NAS in one

Yeah, I'll admit that I haven't listened to Pandora
interesting about ads. I've seen this mentioned before. I can listen to
the "free" version of Pandora for hours at a time on my squeezeboxes,

Have you tried with Squeezeplay then you get an "emulator" that behaves
like a Touch/Radio/Controller thingy .
Nothing prevents you from having both installed.

Bingo. Pandora only works with hardware players. I recall seeing an

Before spending a lot of money on buying one (or more) Squeezebox

Thanks you have been so kind to answer my questions.

Thanks. If given enough time (I was running around doing too much
today), the LCD does display the current song.
As for SHUFFLE. I did not have a playlist. I thought SHUFFLE would

need to use Random Mix for that.
Thanks

I can keep hitting the PLAY button on the remote and a new song (not in
