Looks like the black one came out in Dec 2006, and in Jan 2007 the price
changed 'from $249' to 'from $299'. So it seems reasonable to assume
that that coincides with droping the wired version. The actual buy pages

Certainly the wired-only SB3 model was dropped, but I don't remember
exactly when. My (admittedly fuzzy) recollection is that the wired-only
SB3 was dropped *before* Logitech bought SlimDevices. My equally fuzzy
recollection is that the all-black (black metal faceplate with black
plastic case) SB3
I'm looking on eBay for SB3 or SBClassic in black. When the player got
rebranded as logitech did they continue the non wireless model or did
they drop it?
It's a pain asking everyone if it is wireless, and pretty dumb if they
are all wireless!

O.K., I checked the one I have on my cradle at home and I am now

After a rescan, unfortunatly, I cannot show it again. It is visible in
SqueezeCenter, but not for the (Duet) Controller.

I power off the SBR and the PC running SC when not using them

When wanting to listen to music I first power on PC, wait for SC to

to connect to my server no matter what I did and in frustration I did
the Factory Reset. Well, I connected to my server again PLUS I haven't

left of the scroll wheel) does not do what I'm requesting (and what

Do you see any chance of making the "Back Button" on the SBC behave

I redid the software update on SBC, after that it seems to work.
Note that I only succeeded in the software update after switching the
source to squeeze network.

Today I noticed that SBC hangs and automatically reboots itself when I
browse to Artists and then the songs for that artist.
When I access the songs via albums, this does not happen.

To recap, Now Playing on on the controller doesn't refresh to show
changes when new songs are added or deleted. Restarting the controller

Had the same problem, solved by putting some ( unused :-) ) handkerchief
tissue paper on top of the battery. Cut and fold to size of the battery
just high enough to still be able close the cover whith a little
pressure.

Mine's been doing it from day one...the overall build quality is pretty
poor - the battery lid has play and squeaks as your palm closes around
it when pressing buttons etc. I also own a Harmony One and it's fair
to say that the build quality by comparison is in a different league
altogether.
