I tried the Transporter under their 30 day offer and just couldn't justify the $2,000 price tag so returned it. But as someone else noted above, at $1,500 it would have been a keeper. Heck, even now that I'm all settled in with my SB3 and Lavry DA-10, I'd still be real tempted by a $1,500 tag.

I don't think the taxes etc have anything to do with it as since it was released it was available here for £1300 everywhere and that included the free SB3. After a while the free SB3 deal went but prices were still £1300. It was only after the Logitech deal that prices rose to £1700. Tax hasn't go

Given how the exchange rate has gone, it would be completely unreasonable, but look at the PS3 - it costs more in the UK than Europe, and more in Ireland than mainland Europe, even though it's the same currency! You could buy from Slim direct and pay the VAT and duty and it's about the same as £1
