If it's any consolation, I've found the same thing with my Netgear
router. Getting an IP address for the SB via DHCP seems to be
hit-or-miss, and mostly miss. But a static IP works fine, and doesn't
have any drawbacks for me, and probably won't for you, either.

plugin seems to repeat artists more than would occur
randomly. I haven't had a problem with the same track appearing
frequently in a random mix.

Wireless range depends on so many factors that it's hard to generalize,
but I think the theoretical limit for 802.11g is around 100 meters, and
in the real world it's likely to be a lot less than that. Also, what
were you planning to use to power the Squeezebox?

Usually this is a permissions issue. The user that SC is running under
needs to have read and write permissions in the directory you have
specified for the playlist. Does the saved playlist appear in your file
listing at the OS level? What operating system are you using?

great, but even though different players are
connected to different servers, all the players are visible on the
network, so it's easy to grab a player from one server and attach it
to the other server.

(%_tag%)]. For FLAC files it should show FLAC (FLAC) and nothing else.

their home network, and there's no forum for that, either.

conventional ACPI hibernation that wouldn't wake it up. To put it
another way, the SB is only looking for available SC servers, not going
around waking up sleeping/hibernating computers. You should try toby10's
test to confirm.

But even with the stock firmware the WRT54GL is a very good router. I
don't know if any of the newer Linksys models support 3rd party
firmware, or for that matter, how good they are.
