Thanks to everyone who got me info on the crystals...
...much appreciated! Anxious to hear those shortwave stations through a tube
rig again...hi.
I ended up ordering them through Int'l Crystal...not too cheap, but hey it's
the season for giving...

Henry,
Some hams have reported solving that problem by simply reseating the
circuit boards.
The DR-7 board is a bit tricky. Be careful not to bump the PBT preset pots
on the front right.
If you can find some Caig DeOxit liquid or spray, wipe it on the male
portion of the contacts, and insert
Thanks for all the help guys..

I have developed a fault in my TR7 relating to the UP/DOWN counters. If I

it reads 2.750. Using the up/down buttons I can obtain only 2.250, 2.750

Frank,
The 2B receiver has the AGC line brought out to a terminal strip on the
back. I connected a 0.1 MFD to GND (if I remember correctly) to slow it
down a bit. Hopefully the 2C has the same arrangement.

Hello Erling:
The tuning procedure you reference in the Drake manual for the T-4XC is a
bit ambiguous and is a dangerous procedure when executed incorrectly. There
are high voltages present on the wafer switch which can induce an unpleasant
shock and if you accidentally short a terminal, you could

Any help here would be appreciated.

Hi Alan!
I didn't know you were on this email list. Fancy meeting you here.
I have a Drake T4x transmitter that I am hankering to pull down from the shelf and try
it on AM too. Once I get it set up, maybe you and I could try to hook up some time on
75 meters.

Hello Drake experts!
Please, can anyone out there tell me what and why Drake in their alignment procedures
for the T-4xc says: "Detune T5 by touching the rotor contact ... and tune the
front 3.5 mHz injection trimmer for max. plate current."?
