One of my favorite UNIX command line script is the following, it has helped me find things that I never would have guessed would have been where it was. find . -type f -print|xargs grep -i {what string your looking for} It performs a recursive grep from the current directory. Hope this helps in

A million thanks to Sean ! That's it ! Now it works ! The problem was the setting of /etc/default/tomcat6 which is usually ignored in any installation instruction. Maybe it is worth to just add a few lines about that, don't you think so ? At least it is very useful for ones who do not know
