I wish to give a big thank you to all the D-STAR users who contacted the
station, helping us raise money for children all over the world on Red Nose

Thanks must go to Micheal (2E0UMB) for making the
I am not aware of an application / website but the information is
available if someone wanted to write it for registered D-STAR Users.

Just look on dstaruseers.org and you can see when they last transmitted

Hi Adam,
No simpler than googling their callsign + last heard. (E.G. 'KG4WWH last
heard'.) If they have used D-Star at all on the gateway or reflectors, they
will show up where and when. This seems to be the easiest and quickest way.
Otherwise, without asking them personally, or a node
Additionally, registered D-STAR users have that access, if their
gateway has the web interface avaiable and they know their passwords.
If you can login to the registration page on the gateway you are
registered with, you can go to the Terminal Information screen and put

And those pointing you to the dstarusers.org site are also correct, but why
go outside of the system to an add-on to find data that's already there?
See, I found Fran! (GRIN. I chose someone at random from this thread to
show that you can find anyone on any system.)

Yep Debbie,
I keep hearing about people writing front-ends to the Gateway interface,
or doing the registrations for the users to make things easier. but then
they don't get to see how the system really was meant to work, and they
usually don't provide the information that the original web
Ok, thanks everyone, but I guess it clears after a while, I tried my own
call sign, and it came up with no information.
I have a lot to learn about DSTAR, but I am getting it slowly!!

The only problem with the information is it doesn't tell when I was last on.

No reason it couldn't. but by design, they probably thought that was a
security/privacy issue.
I'm surprised no one's asked DStarUsers.org to take that data down,
honestly. Someone who really values their privacy will eventually.

And in the USA that is how this information should be treated. If you
transmit it, it can be intercepted [and relayed].

What does the legality of interception of our signals directly have to do
with publishing information about our radio activites on a world-wide

It's a big stretch to go from:

It's very hard to tell from here, but it looks to me like your Terminal Info

I might be wrong, as I'm trying to count spaces on the web interface to our

Nate,
I agree totally, I opt out of the DGPS because my boss (or anyone) could track
me, if they knew how.
The same reason could be argued that anyone could find a parked vehicle (for
any length of time) with an expensive radio transmitting DGPS/APRS data

Maybe we should have a D-Star only users list, then only users can see other
users? That way, only we can see our fellow users. (Logged and therefore
traceable.)

It also doesn't make the very real feelings about inappropriateness of the

I think that people are confusing their professional computer (or other)
security concerns with the nature and purpose of Amateur Radio
Communications. As KE5C pointed out, by statute, amateur communications
are not private and have no prohibition for monitoring or reporting.
