Damn it damn it damn it! Got through two restarts, and a shutdown without the RAM card in and (presumeably) the PRAM disconnected. Switched over to OS 9.1 to set its Energy Saver and did not have enough RAM with a shift restart. I shut down, popped the RAM card in and ... GLOD. Took out the

I know that I am getting power because I can hear the speaker click and give faint white noise when I hit the external KB power button. Couldn't make note of that till partial dissassembly so that I could put the little speaker right up to my ear. Right now I cannot get the logic board out.

Well, I do keep a PowerBook 180 around for emergencies so that I can still do my grades. It's not a 2400, but it gets by. I have owned two "fragile" PowerBooks--the 100 and the 5300c. Neither one of them have failed in the hardware department while I used them and I used them everyday. Hope
