Although very little can be documented about ham licenses in Lao PDR
(commonly called "Laos"), the best information I have is that XW1B is the
only current valid ham license in that country. Knowledgable sources

In S E Asia, the bottom three to five kc frequencies are always jammed by
non-ham xmitters.
These parts of 80 and 40 especially are non-functional for ham use, here, and
this location
can not be the only sufferers of this mess. Thus, DXpeditions, pse avoid the
bottom few kcs.

Took a break from the CW DX contest... easy to do because NA was few this
time and built the KC2TX rcve loops for 160 and 80. They hear purty good
and I have high hopes of my hearing as gud as I xmit on 80. Season is late,
now, but I will try 3.506 + - in my evenings and will try not to

Thailand HF stations are limited to 3.500 to 3.535 and 1.800 to 1.825 CW
