Great story, Leigh. Being from Southern California, originally, I can attest to how hard it is to work Europe from there -- well, at least compared to how easy it is from the Eastern U.S. Doing it with a couple of watts and an ad-hoc antenna is that much more rewarding! 73, Wayne N6KR On Aug

Hi, I have built KX1 (0156) at first and I love it very much. A very short time later I build K2 (4288) which became my primary transceiver know, beside my FT-857 and TS-870. I am planning to add KPA-100 option to it know. I am not using my KX1 any more because of my disabilities, therefore I

Have others noticed less RX sensitivity on the KX1 on 20M as compared to 40M and 30M? I recall that this was noted in the QRP Quarterly review of the KX1 a little while back and I have also noticed this on my own rig, so I am guessing that this is normal. Sensitivity is still sufficient on 20M b

Guys, I am amazed how dense the K2/100 really is when you take off the right cover to check to see if the cables are pinched. A suggestion would be to use double sided sticky tape and stick on on the KPA100 shield with some sort of header pins to unplug it when you remove the KPA100. Place
