Hi Andrew,
Yes, place that 2.7KΩ resistor across RP2 pins 7 & 8. This resistor is
on the output of U6A to drive the varactor diodes in the PLL Osciillator
circuit. It was changed to 2.7K in Rev B. In Rev A it was 100K and part
of RP2, so you are just placing a 2.7k resistor in parallel with
a Glutten for Punishment. I wont say More !

Realizing that the terms best and portable mean different things to
different people. Here is a portable vertical that I've been playing
with since June: http://www.n6bt.com/n6bt-Bravo7K-1.htm

has one in use for a while.

Clint,
While my enclosures will not meet your desire to waterproof the BL2, I
do make polycarbonate enclosures for all of Elecraft's mini-modules.
Here is a link to the BL2 enclosure:

Hi Scott,
I'm going to assume you are talking about a K3 here (red light comes
on). I'm successfully running WSPR here on K3 #338. Here is my setup:
- Using DATA A mode (make sure you're not in REV DATA).
- While in TEST mode, I adjusted my sound card output to show a solid 4
bars on the ALC
Tom,
I just had the same problem here and it turned out to be the Digital I/O
board (the one with the RS232 ACC connectors). If you follow the
troubleshooting section in the K3 manual, it has you disconnect
everything but power to the K3, then remove the Digital I/O board, the
KIO3 board and
I may be outside the norm here, but I received my Bravo 7K in 4 weeks
after I was told it would be 6 - 8 weeks before shipment. Although, I
tried contacting Tom after the QST article and failed to get a response
after a couple of months. I read the same thing about his email
problems. I
Barry,
I had the same thing here a few weeks ago. I found that I had no output
from my LPA board. It is now at Elecraft being serviced but I have yet
to hear the final resolution. It has only been in service for a week or so.
I used a scope and did some signal tracing and found that I had RF
BTW - some of the obvious things to check first would be to insure you
aren't in test mode or that the TX INH pin is not set or floating (check
in the Config menu).

Hi all,
Before I contact service, I thought I might post my problem here in case
it is something fairly simple.
I returned from a 2.5 week vacation a couple of weeks ago and sat down
to do the firmware upgrade to my K3. I had my K3 powered off and
disconnected the antenna while away but it
Hey Eric,
Where did you find the info on the change? (Google was not my friend). I
purchased mine in April of 2008. I would be interested to see if I could
make the change myself.
