No. The FPGA gets loaded each time you turn on the P3. There are different
code images for each monitor resolution. So the uP checks which resolution you
have selected and loads the proper code for that resolution.
The FPGA is a Xilinx XC6SLX9 in a FTG256 1.0 mm pitch BGA package.

I’m assuming here a normal non-USB K3. What you should do is connect the P3
normally to the K3 through the XCVR port on the P3, and then connect the

This is easy to do with an Arduino if you are capable with those kind of
things. The serial port on the Arduino can read the data from the K3, and

The B VFO doesn’t do anything in diversity receive. Both receivers are driven
by the A synth. B VFO is only used for a split transmit frequency if you want.

The beeps are not very loud, and fairly high pitched. I don’t bother shutting

Uh, No. CI-V is a CSMA-CD type of system, with station addressing. RS-232 is
nothing like it. You can’t just put RxD and TxD on the same wire. Data format
is way different.

My “Aux” cable is about 25 feet long. It’s just a CAT5 cable wired
