That's a very BAD idea. Equalization often needs to be applied to
Line In audio, both for playback of voice messages and to r
I am also not sure what is done with phase of signal when EQ is in
action...
The equalizer is a constant delay (linear phase) FIR filter, so phase
distortion should not occur.

Just short answer for
maybe you could briefly explain why WSJT would benefit from
other than flat eq?
When using some soundcards (it was probably some SoundBlaster not so
bad but not the best one) I used TX EQ for power conformity in all
used tones. Do not remember exactly now but output power
NFIG menu? That said, maybe
you could briefly explain why WSJT would benefit from other than flat eq?

You are right, Julian.
So what about t
to the approach with "eq
modes"
I assume that would be implemented as a new menu within CONFIG?

just info - no new real "mode" is requested
only internal interpretation in K3 dependent on real MODE and
SOME_OTHER_CONTIDION (eg. MIC port) like only internal "virtual" mode
for deciding which EQ profile will be used
just to prevent misunderstandings :-)
hope not needed but...

You are right, Julian.
So what about to keep SSB FP MIc/SSB RP Mic/AM FP Mic/AM RP Mic/FM FP
MIc/FM/RP Mic as "independent modes" keeping their own TX/RX EQ Settings?
So yes, let´s have 10 EQ pre-sets and make table of possible "modes"
to keep information about EQ pre-set. There is no need to l

What about to have settings of RX and TX EQ not by mode but as profiles?
let´s have RXEQ1, RXEQ2,,RXEQ5,...
also TXEQ1,.TXEQ5,...
all stored for possible recall
someteimes is good to use more profiles in one mode - other
headphones, microfone change, other data mode,...
so it will

Tonight I was on 40 PSK31 using DATA A. At one point I was wondering why in
the world I wasn't getting enought power out. It turned out I had clicked on
a different frequency in the waterfall! Clearing the TX equalizer fixed the
problem. This is not the first time this has happened to me. Then whe
