I 'm afraid that my response to Neven's comments concerning EFT might have
sounded like I didn't approve of his method. Far from it, I think his method
is sound. I added my comments about component value selection as an aside.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Folks,
My manager wants to attend an EMC seminar for compliance managers. He is
not an EMC person and doesn't want to know all the technical details. I
remember Univ. of Wisconcin offered such seminar before. Andway, any
recommendation are appreciated. Details such as an URL is prefered.
We use two dome cameras: one is mounted closer to the antenna on the left
side, the other is closer to the EUT on the right side. We set up the EUT
so the indicator is visible in x, y and z axis orientations. Fault
indication can be wired to external LEDs if necessary.
Of course, alarm
Herr Stolle hat Recht.
Lfd. Nr. = 'laufende Nummer' - Brockhaus Bildwöterbuch, 1960 McGraw-Hill
A 'laufende Nummer' is litterally a 'running number', hence a serial number.

Hi Dave,
You are not correct when you stated that UL60950 is the same as EN60950.
Actually, both of these

Hi All,
I can't resist throwing in my 2 cents worth as well. EFT has a pretty
steep risetime of current, not quite as fast as ESD but fast enough to
cause interesting effects. An EFT generator can produce 100 volts of

Hello Rob,
If IDA used the term license, they may be referring to something other
than equipment type approval. They could be referring to a dealer's license
for your local supplier in Singapore. It could also be a radio license --

I assume this is an off line switcher. If so, the FET is at mains potential
and the required creepage and clearance distances is the same as the
hot-to-ground creepage requirement(4 mm or is it 3 mm? for creepage).
