My friend was telling me how the HAAS he is looking at can run macros to find hole center and edges etc. Can something like that be done in EMC? I know you could load a G file to do that but a press of the button would be faster. Thanks John

You configure a probe just like almost everything else in emc: add the right lines to a .hal file. In this case, you will be writing a line to connect a signal to the pin "motion.probe-input". For example, if the probe input is on parport pin 26*, you could write net probe parport.0.pin-26-in
