Greetings all; I had one of those "colonoscopy" cameras you could buy on ebay for about $22 USD on my toy mill, and had it pretty well calibrated but hadn't put it to any real use as yet when I knocked it loose with an errant hold down bolt on that furniture joint carving jig. I'd been meaning

Gene, What's the depth of field with those? I bought one of the $20 amazon "endoscopes". I was really disappointed in the depth of field. I have played with real endoscopes, and the amazing thing about them is their depth of field is from .5" to infinity. This one had a focal distance of about 4

[Emc-users] Charge_pump at servo-thread?

Greetings all; It looks like if I want to control a relay to run a vacuum to suck up the wood dust, and I only want it to run when commanded, I will have to use a charge_pump to get around the 5i25 that sets everything high when linuxcnc is shut down. Looking at its man page, it says base-thre

Sebastian, I was trying to do a quick rebuild of an old machine where the ssd died and wanted to be able to use the existing configuration as is. I went ahead, however and just finished installing lcnc 2.7 to xubuntu 12.04 from the instructions here: http://linuxcnc.org/docs/2.7/html/getting-start

Sebastian, I am building from packages. That makes sense, I did do a reboot after rtai was installed, but not after lcnc. Thanks, Eric Are you building linuxcnc itself from source or installing the debian package? The updated memlock limit comes from the linuxcnc debian package, not from the rt
