I read in several comp.c sources that functions in the comps get passed
(void *arg, long period).
I have not found docs explaining this,
but guess *arg is the 'config string',
and that period is the period of the thread the comp is attached to.
is this correct?

Sounds like a 50/50 mix. 50% 50/50, and 50% distilled would be a decent
choice. I'd
I'd mix 25% antifreeze (car) with the water. Unless you anticipate it getting
really cold in your shop, then bump it up to 50% just like your car.

Todd;
Its generally considered "poor form" to update a machine without rebooting it.
That then is also assuming the machine

Very strange

I never had to restart the PC, in fact it is still running.
I'll go try to look at some of the system logs. But I'm looking for a needle
in a haystack without knowing what a "needle" is or looks like.

XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0.0"
Yesterday we were running our Linuxcnc Routers, and the machine operator came
and got me to tell me that one of them had crashed.
Linuxcnc had exited in the middle of a run with the router motors still running
in the material.
Here Is a Pastebin link to the error message. (My email to the list

Greetings all;
I've installled that in a modified config I'll drive this 6040 with, but
I'm surprised to see it using the machines instant positions rather than
the probe detected positions.
And, maybe I am running it wrong but the values its applying seem totally
duff. For a long X move, and

Common to provide a convenient place to connect sensors and switches
Hello Dears,
7i77 has tow separate vin one for logic power and the other one for supply
field power to outputs.and also it can be supplied with one power source
logic power and it will use it to supply field outputs, and you can decide
what you prefer to use and set w1 jumber.
