The theme uses fonts you don't have installed.

animation, control whether E moves menus to be onscreen, whether the
pointer warps to submenus, etc.
Other than that, try hovering the mouse over the menu name until it
starts to appear, and then moving into it. (Spent a few minutes
practicing my technique here.)
