Hi Harman,
Thanks for the very comprehensive explanation. Yes, now the 16 bit vs the

had in my
head but never got clarification.
I have been reliabily told that the EOS 10D supports FAT32, so I'm keen to

ormat my 1GB compact flash card to FAT32?
Thanks in advance,

Guys and gals,
Does anyone know if the lens mechanism on the new 24-70mm f/2.8L uses
internal zooming, or does the barrel actually extend outwards when you zoom

Would you consider the 70-200mm f/2.8L non-IS lens? I heard from a sales

Hi Guys and gals,
I am wondering what the negatives of an EOS D30 are - I hear that the AF
isn't as good as on the EOS30 (aka Elan7e). Is that true? What other
shortcomings are there with this camera body?
I was wondering whether I should have a digital camera as a second body and
with the
switch to "1.5m-infinity", or
manual turn the focussing ring to at least 3 metres on the little window.
Hope this helps.

I've only used Alkaline AA batteries on my BP-300, so I can't comment on

Hello Evrim,
I bought the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L on the same week that I knew the IS version
was coming out. I figure that the "old" lens got so much praise, the new

there to reduce lens shake that cause blurred pictures,
rive is
much noisier than the USM on the Canon. So that got the voting dollars of

Hi Gary,
I recently bought a new 70-200mm 2.8L without the IS. I knew that the IS
version was hitting the streets at the time I was about to purchase. I've
been taking some pictures using handholding at bright light conditions and
IS seems to be a moot point for this particular lens.
