a lot of years ago
in the analog world. it's been a frustration in digital to NOT be able to do IR

I recently got my 350D back with an 87 filter, and am very happy with
the results:

It provides excellent quality, and focusses well with the lenses I
use most often for these type of shots.
However, now that it's done, I'd like to relate how t
Not that I even want one, but I thought this was interesting:
Steve Gandy (cameraquest.com) claims he can sell you the Japan-only 20D A
infrared astro camera:

Caveats are, $3000 prepaid, and a long lead time (claimed 2-3 months)! :-P

It's funny, that's a question that I have pondered as well.
Not only have camera manufacturers nearly abandoned fisheye lenses, they

Several days ago I read a thread about Infrared shooting with Canon Digital
SLRs, but I did not have time to respond. Anyway, there is a reason that

shooting with Canon DSLRs. The difference has to do with the filtering and

Oh thank you, I'll move there for this discussion...
Just a word for Bud:
My pic was an experiment, others pics I've done looks like the one you

I thought that camera had a filter to prevent IR. No? That shot is
quite different than what I came to expect from other IR capable

I've always loved infrared shoots and, with the digital revolution, it
also become something I can do.
So I went out shooting with an Infrared filter on. What I discovered is
that IR is really funny!!! (and that I
I might order on of them and I'll let you know how it turns out.

Interestingly, they show it on an EOS digital rebel I think. They say
it's not for AF film SLRs, nor Nikon digitals, nor E20 or E10
