I am more concerned about the graphic display abilities based on the
reviews I have read than the ability of the processor. I occasionally
download short videos 2-30 minutes long. I was wondering how jerkiness
of the display.

I have heard problems with installing apps on Linux based netbooks
that were not available from the distro's download sight. This was
mainly from windows users, not people who use Linux regularly. This is
probably an education issue.

The modem just has a single Ethernet port on it, and a place to plug in
the power supply. It is plug in and it works.

I shut down skype and the problem went away. To block super node status
i would need to block ports 80/tcp and 443/tcp. This is not good. I will
setup the linksys for NAT and see if that solves the problem. Super node
