I believe that is a known bug that has been logged.

And they are. Except that this snapshot seems to freeze up sometimes,
especially when I'm deleting a series of messages, one after the other.

I will take that to mean there is no plan to increase the current limit.

Using Evolution 0.14 I can no longer have a filter that moves messages
to the Trash. I know I can automatically delete them, but I'd rather
they not get deleted until I empty my Trash.
The message displayed is : "The type of the selected folder is not valid
for the requested operation".

I appear to be hitting a 2 GB filesize limit with evolution-mail.
It appears that the problem is NOT my filesystem as I successfully
created a 5 GB file elsewhere on the parition.
I am running Linux 2.4.9 and using a ReiserFS 3.6 partition. My
distribution is Debian "woody/testing" with deb-src
I recently tried to send attachments with my email from Evolution 0.14
encrypted using pgp. What the recipients received was an encrypted
email which when decrypted had the attachment included within the body
of the email (not as an attachment) and the attachment appeared to
remain encrypted. Th

Well...don't really have to play with this right now, so I ended up
going to 2 seperate displays, as the 2nd head really just has a
terminal, IM clients, gkrellm, xmms running, which kinda stay put.
Thanks for the input, I think I'll come back to this later after

Hi All, this may have been addressed before, but I can't find it in
the archives so here it is:
Evolution runs just fine (0.14.99, all the current libraries)
But I get no summary, and no summary icon, running

Just to add my input, I'm running a Matrox G450 Dual-head card on
Debian-Sid with XFree86 v4.1.0. I use Matrox's HAL driver from their
site (I wish they'd fricken update it!). I use Evolution 0.13 (since
they *STILL* haven't got the dependancies done for 0.14 in Sid yet).
I have had very few pr
Thanks for the info...that means I've still got some IRQ/setup issues to
work on.
BTW, what version of XFree86 are you using? What type of video cards?

Actually, I thought I was seeing this too, but I did finally get it to
come up by clicking on it. Does this happen to be a vfolder on a

Hi, running a snapshot from 29 of september.
I have a fvolder that conains all mail from a particular person, and all
mail sent to this person.
Since 29th the mail from this person is in the vfolder every time, but I
have to edit the vfolder settings, change nothing and press the OK
button to g

tried deleting all the .oafinfo files i coud find, and that didn't seem to

bonobo-conf et al. what finally worked for me was running oaf-sysconf

I am still still getting the same old problem:
'Could not create composer window.'
and

I have compiled 0.14 on slackware.
Some help would be appreciated.
Thanks as always,

That's probably what it is. I wasn't looking at the processes, just the
gtop summary. When I look at the processes, I see that there are 7
instances of evolution-mail running.

Hello there everybody
Wow Evolution is really looking great! One quick question though, is
there an autoarchive function? For instance if something is older than
x days will it archive/delete it? This would keep the size of my
calendar down to a nice size. Please let me know, thanks
Rory
I've been keeping track pretty closely with Cooker (now 8.1) and the
Evolution snapshots (RedHat 7.0). I haven't had any problems except
with libgtkhmtl15 dependencies. I have all Mandrake stuff except for
what comes in the daily snapshots. Caution: Fredric doesn't seem to
think it is a good id
Are you counting each evolution-mail process? Don't. evolution-mail is
multi-threaded and so shares it's resources between all threads, thus
when you see that each process is using say 14 megs and there are 8 of
them, it's not using 8 * 14 megs of ram, it's really only using 14 megs
total.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try
tonight.

Hi:
I've got Ev. running (latest bits, updated via red-carpet this morning.)
When I look at memory usage in gtop, I see that about 106 meg of memory
is in use (evolution, evolution-address, evolution-calendar and

All,
On RH 7.1 with Ximian the calendar view, when left open, seems to just die with "Oops"
I was in another app when this happened so I'm not sure what Evo was trying to do.
Its happened 3 times this morning.

"can't" how? They don't appear in the folder tree? It won't allow you
to select them? What exactly are you doing? I just tried and it worked fine
for me.

OK, this behaviour seems to only occur if you have focus-follows-mouse
enabled in Sawfish. If you run click-to-focus, everything works
normally.
What seems to happen is that every time you press delete, a new focus
event is generated, enabling the pop-down with the best guess about the
recipient,
I'm using evolution 0.14, and I noticed that the shortcut toolbar does
not show the number of unreaded emails in my local Inbox folder.
Is there anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Moreover, it would be very useful a gnome applet or a popup window
indicating when there is new unreaded ema

Has anybody this problem:
I'm replying to a mail, but I want to change the recipient (who's in my
addressbook). I try to delete the name, but as I delete, the dialogue
keeps filling in the original recipient again. The only way to do this
is to mark the recipient using the mouse, then deleting it
I didn't find anything about this issue in bugzilla: if there is a colon
in a filter criterion like "Subject starts with Error: critical", the
criterion is saved as "Subject starts with Error". The colon and all
words behind it are stripped.
