We're using Backup Exec 11D to backup our Exchange 2007 servers. We're running
low on disk space in our backup store, so I'm looking at what I can delete.
In addition to the .bkf files, I'm seeing folders called IMG01 - IMG22.
It looks like the system is creating one of these with each
Is there a relatively inexpensive (or even free) backup solution for Exchange
2010?

That's what he's talking about :)
Windows Server Backup will backup your Exchange databases. Many people use it
to backup Exchange.

Solution looking for a problem. Could the problem be lengthening backup
times? Reducing the backup window to nearly 0 would be a good thing.
Indeed, the organization that dominated my class was looking at a lagged
copy as their backup solution.

How is that a backup? How is it better than backing up a passive copy?
Not saying it isn't a valid idea, I just don't understand the application.

A backup is a copy if your data. Isn't a lagged copy still a copy?
One example is the time to backup is down to nearly zero.
Why do I want a passive copy? Recovery of a single item? That's what
Deleted Item Retention is for. Is it beyond the window? Well that kind of
recovery usually happens
