I had a Supra PnP that fell on it's face-speed dropped dramatically-
when I moved to a different state. After not working properly with 3 new
and different ISP's (no one could tell me why) I junked it and bought an
external USR. It works equally well in W98 and L-M6.0.

Dear Pj:
To remove the lock, go to your home directory, look for the netscape
directory:
$/home/sher/
ls -la
(this will show ALL of your files and directories, including the hidden
files)
Now cd to .netscape
Now rm "lock".
You can also do this in KFM. Be sure to check under View the option
"
Just go to your .netscape directory, right off your root user dir and "rm
lock". That will do the trick.

Dana

They do not have such a model. They have models like
Supra Express 336i V+ and so on. You have to be a bit
careful. Supras come in both WinModems and Non-Win. However,

It looked something like this: /netscape/ibi.lock/ local host process ID

I have an ISA Diamon Supra Express 336 PNP Voice modem. I'm running
Mandrake 7.0 and trying to get this modem to work (I didn't get it working
under 6.1 either). This isn't a winmodem (to my knowledge) but Lothar
doesn't detect it (I know it's in beta). I'm wondering how I can get this
working i

You'll be able then to sign in right under the penguin and run
Xcofigurator (or whatever else you want).

My problem now is that I cannot change my settings from X (cause it wont
run) and yet it runs X on boot. I see the penguin and a command line login

Does anybody know is the mouse-hanging issue fixed in Mandrake
installation?
At least the installation in Redhat 6 and Mandrake 6.1 is freezing in some
portable models
while it tries to recognize mouse!

I've seen mention of a few other distributions which come with gcc
already set up with the m68k-coff-palmos libraries to be able to
cross-compile for the Palm platform. Do the current (or upcoming)
versions of Mandrake include these? If not, is there a reason why not?

The early Motorola 6800 MicroProcessor had undefined instructions that
you could feed to it -- instructions being binary numbers, after all. One
of those instructions would put the micro in an illegal state. It would
halt, and after 10 - 15 minutes, if left on in that state without

It's like mv, but with more usefull features.
I have never used it (I rather do scripts) but I think it can do things like
mmv filename*.png otherfilename*.png
(maybe the syntax is not correct)
This will rename filename01.png into otherfilename01.png, filename02.png

binary tree. Is it possible for Mandrake to add it please? It's very little and
useful too!

I think you can have problem with partition, usualy Mandrake create 2
paretition, one for boot (mount in /boot) and other for the file system (/)
I need to create the firsdt 10M partition first (hda1 for /boot with 10M) after
