Is there any GUI front-end that can help to find
available access point and get more detailed
information for wireless connection? I am using asus
wl-100 on xp and bundled GUI front-end is very
impressive. I wonder if I can get similar one for
linux?

Well - if your drivers under LInux supports the Wireless-Extensionjs (e.g. you
use the wireless-tools to configure you WiFi), try out using the kwifimanager
(Duno if you can scan etc. for available stuff though). You could also give
kwavecontrol a shot... Dunno if it will help you though. I do

If I am running Mandrake 9.1 with the latest Club kernel, is there anything in
particular I need to know to compile and tet the beta 2.6 kernel? Has
anything changed with respect to the compilation process?
I'm going to grab the sources now, but just thought I'd ask while I am

Under Everybuddy Preferences -> General Tab, there a button for use
spell checking. If you click it, there's an entry for "spell check
program" & "spell check language". What do you put in those boxes to
make spellcheck work? I've tried putting the file locations in there

What would I need to setup two Apache servers to serve the same domain
name using load balancing & round robin? Each user session must be
limited to one server. And it must be able to sense when one of the
servers are down and skip over that server to a working server.

I just upgraded to gaim 0.66 (thanks James) and am still having the same
trouble with the font configuration, can't change size, color or face in
pref's and make it take.
I make the changes and close the window, restart gaim (just because ) and
there are no changes made. Looking in pref's shows

have a DNS server, well, except for the router in a way I suppose.
Anyway, I want to try to use my mailserver, simply called "localhost",
to send mail out rather than my ISP's smtp server. Mainly a learning

Using "sendmail" to send your email automatically will use postfix by default
on your system. Postfix understands "sendmail". As for using "localhost",

I did a very clean MDK 9.1 installation. After installed some packages I
still note that smb:// in Nautilus doesn't make any effect! But with
xsmbrowser I can navigate over others win/Linux box via Samba.
Can someone give me any help at this point?

I'm using -- Wine 20030115 to try to run TotalA, it starts and the mouse is
usable but there is no keyboard recognised.
O/S is Mandrake 9.1 with updates
Video is nVIDIA Gforce2 32Mb RAM
Memory 512Mb.
TotalA ran fine using Codeweavers 200209xx under Mandrake 9.0..
